13 questions based on Google's misrepresentation rules and real Shopify cases. Your answers stay in your browser: nothing is stored or sent.

1. Does your contact page show an email address or phone number, not only a form?

Contact page has no visible email or phone. Google expects contact details you can actually see.

2. Is the business address on your site exactly the same as in Merchant Center Business info?

Address on the site differs from Merchant Center. Inconsistent identity is a classic misrepresentation trigger.

3. Does your refund policy state the return window and who pays return shipping?

Refund policy incomplete: return window and return shipping cost must be stated.

4. Are any fees (restocking, handling, duties) mentioned only outside your policies, or only at checkout?

Fees disclosed late or outside the policies. Hidden fees are a named misrepresentation example.

5. Do banners or badges promise faster delivery than your shipping policy states?

Shipping promises contradict your shipping policy. Remove or correct the banner and badges.

6. Do you sell supplier-shipped items without saying where they ship from?

Ship-from location hidden for supplier-shipped items. Say where each product ships from and how long it takes.

7. Do you show strikethrough prices that were never really charged, or countdown timers?

Permanent sale prices or fake urgency. Only show compare-at prices you actually charged.

8. Does the same product URL show a different currency or price depending on the visitor's country?

Currency changes by location on the same URL. Google's crawler may see a price that doesn't match your feed.

9. Do sold-out variants still appear as in stock anywhere (feed, structured data, add-to-cart)?

Availability mismatch on sold-out variants. Check apps that add their own structured data.

10. Do your policies or pages still contain placeholders like "[store name]" or demo text?

Template leftovers in your policies or pages. Google asks merchants to remove placeholder text before a review.

11. Do you sell products using other brands' names, or words like "replica" or "inspired by"?

Brand names or replica wording. Counterfeit signals can make a suspension permanent. Remove them first.

12. Is your store password page on, or does checkout require creating an account?

Store locked or checkout behind a login. Google must be able to browse and reach checkout.
